Affiliate marketing is a great way to earn money from home but for the majority of people, getting off to a good start can be very difficult. In this article I am going to discuss the three most common mistake made by beginning affiliate marketers.

One of the biggest mistakes beginning affiliate marketers make is to put very little effort into their pre-sell. The pre-sell is going to determine whether your campaign is a profitable one or whether it falls by the wayside.

For an example of an effective pre-sell that I created, check out my site Affiliate Rockstar X. I created this site the day after the launch of Affiliate Rockstar Status. Affiliate Rockstar X.com is appearing on the first page of Google for several keywords associated with Affiliate Rockstar Status.

Which brings me to affiliate mistake number two, getting into the market to late. In order to make any money you will have to get in early. A trick I use, is to subscribe to email campaigns from popular internet Guru’s. When a new product launches I usually get several emails in the same day. I then know which is the new hot item and I start promoting it.

The third mistake made by beginning affiliate marketers is to join to many affiliate programs which scatters your attention. The best method is to focus on one until it becomes profitable and then move on to the next.

Project Black Mask invites us into the world of underground Black Hat search engine optimization. In this article I am going to go over a few points in the book to better illustrate its contents.

Project Black Mask describes how black hatters create low quality high ranking sites with automated software. Often monetizing them with Adsense or Affiliate links. The techniques in Project Black Mask are not for everyone.

I am not sure if I am going to use any of them myself. But there is a lot of useful infomation in Project Black Mask and parts of the book do contain some value.

Project Black Mask gives a couple of examples of profitable black hat techniques, one being creating hundreds of Adsense sites or multiple blog farms. All of these sites can be created with the appropriate software.

If this type of idea does not appeal to you then this is not the book for you.

There is plenty of good information in Project Black Mask and an advanced section on search engine optimization and a very enlightening chapter on page cloaking software.

Lets dive right into Chapter one of Affiliate Rockstar Status, The Million Dollar Methodology. This chapter sets out a detailed schematic for you to follow on your path to Internet success. It reveals some of the strategies the top affiliates use to bring in a steady stream of income.

This section in a nutshell is the basics of Internet marketing. It is important to get a grasp of the basics before plunging forward into the sometimes confusing world of Internet marketing.

Chapter 3 of Affiliate Rockstar Status contains some truly eye opening adwords tracking techniques that I have not seen in any other publications. As well the chapter provides some advanced ad copy tips and strategies.

One of the best chapters of Affiliate Rockstar Status is called Direct Linking (Next Generation) and it reveals some adwords content functions that I had not previously thought of. The chapter also provides some advanced web 2.0 techniques that could potentially increase free traffic coming to your blog or website.

One thing I dislike about the book is the bonus chapter titled “How To Splurge Like A Rockstar.” This chapter is purely a space filler in my opinion. There were also a few elements missing from the book that I felt could of easily been included.

In summing up my Affiliate Rockstar Status review I found it to be a very compelling read. It builds on some techniques and principles of its predecessors but it still manages to toss in some hidden gems to satisfy the reader.
